Arsene Wenger has called on fans to back Emmanuel Adebayor after the Togo striker signed a new long-term contract this week. Adebayor, who netted 30 times in 48 outings last season, was booed by sections of the crowd during Saturday's 1-0 win over West Brom.
"We have to get behind him and support him because he is a tremendous force and has tremendous importance for the team," said Wenger.
