The final countdown is now on to find some of London's finest local businesses, as the closing date draws ever closer for the North & West London Business Awards at Wembley Stadium.

Claire Evans from the Archant London events team said, "The response has been overwhelming this year, especially from employers wanting to put forward their outstanding young employees as potential candidates for the coveted titles of, Outstanding Young Person of the Year, and Apprentice of the Year."

"Young people are just too modest about the valuable contribution that they bring to local businesses, and this year it really is about rewarding them, and making them feel that they really count towards the success of local businesses in London".

There has also never been a better time to enter, as the winners from each of the 15 categories this year, will not only win the accolade of being the best in London, but Archant London will give 6,700 of advertising and marketing support with Archant London to every category winner. These prizes will come at a time, when many businesses have been faced with making cuts to their marketing budgets as business has been affected by the global economic downturn.

So depending on where your business is based and trades, will depend on which awards you enter, however if you are based in North London but trade in both North London and the Thames Gateway area, entry is open to all the awards for your company.

It's been a tough year, but already the entries that have been received are an indication of the battling spirit that local companies possess, and what an industrious and entrepreneurial area London is.

Entries are being called for now, and with the deadline for the North and West London awards being the 31st July, Archant London are urging local businesses to move fast.

You can enter as many of the 15 categories as you wish. The entry mechanism is simple, either go online to www.london24.com/businessawards where you can complete an online entry form, or call the awards hotline now for an entry pack 020 8477 3939. There is a dedicated events team who can also help you compile your winning entry.

Entries will be judged by a panel of sponsors, and finalists will be selected to go forward to become the overall winner of each category. The finalists will then be invited to the glittering awards ceremonies which are taking place at the end of the year.
