Tube death pensioner named

A SWISS Cottage pensioner, who took his own life at Finchley Road tube station, has been named as Robert Peacock.

Last Friday, Mr Peacock, 83, of Goldhurst Terrace, threw himself in front of a southbound Metropolitan Line train.

British Transport Police responded to the incident at 1.30pm along with London Underground's Emergency Response Unit, ambulance crews and the Fire Brigade.

Officers have confirmed they are not treating the incident as suspicious.
