Numerous trees collapsed in Camden on Christmas Eve as high winds swept through the borough.
Camden Council received seven calls from residents concerned about fallen trees on December 24.
Police were called to the scene of a felled tree in Primrose Hill Road, at the junction with Adelaide Road, in Chalk Farm, at around 1.35am on Tuesday.
The collapsed tree blocked a large portion of pavement in Primrose Hill Road and uprooted a lamppost as it came down.
Council tree experts are examining whether the high storm winds, which battered the whole of the UK this Christmas, were to blame or whether there was an underlying cause, such as decay.
