A SCHOOL in Hornsey celebrated another positive Ofsted report this week after inspectors judged its business education as "outstanding".

Greig City Academy's result has already prompted calls from other London schools hoping to find the secret of their success.

In the report, inspectors said the "overall effectiveness of business education, including the development of students' economic and business understanding and financial capability was judged to be outstanding".

The report also highlighted the positive relationships between the staff and students at the Hornsey High Street school and praised the teachers for their broad subject knowledge, variety of teaching styles and good use of IT.

Greig City Academy opened on the site of the failing St Katherine and St David's School in 2002, after receiving a £13.9million cash injection from the government.

Head of the business faculty Maureen Arhagba said: "I am delighted with the judgments; they show that the provision in business, careers and enterprise education fits together as part of a comprehensive programme that includes Greig City students visiting banking and legal firms in the City of London. The Ofsted report will help us as we apply for Investors in Career status.
