A controversial milkshake bar in Hampstead is set to whip up another storm after contesting a decision to cuts its hours.

On Tuesday (August 7) the owner of Tinseltown in Heath Street lodged an appeal with to overturn a Camden Council ruling which slashed its late-night opening hours.

The issue came to head last month after a six-year battle between neighbours and the American diner bubbled over at the town hall. Licensing officials heard how some residents had packed up and moved out after unruly customers threatened violence, left a trail of litter, flouted parking restrictions and woke children up in the early hours.

Council officials and the owners of the bar will now appear before magistrates who will review the decision.
