Three people were rushed to hospital after two cars collided outside Camden Road Overground station in the early hours of the morning, overturning one vehicle.
Petrol flooded from the upturned car as four people from both vehicles managed to free themselves after the crash at about 1.30am this morning.
Three fire brigade crews, two from Kentish Town Fire Station and one from Euston Fire Station, were called to the scene in case anybody was trapped but were not needed.
One person was taken to the Royal Free Hospital in Pond Street, Hampstead. Ambulance crews treated a 25-year-old man for back and chest pain before taking him to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.
A 54-year-old man was also taken to St Mary’s Hospital with back pain. None of the injuries were serious.
Skidmarks were clearly visible in the aftermath of the collision, near the junction between Camden Road and Royal College Street.
Both roads were closed until the petrol was cleaned up and did not reopen until 6.52am.
