The rare Jersey tiger moth has spread its wings and made it all the way to Highgate Woods.
The colourful insect is mainly found in the Channel Islands but was discovered in London for the first time last year.
Now it has now been found living in the public woodland in north London.
It is one of about 180 species of moths living in the wood, say the open space’s manager, the City of London Corporation.
