It was a star-studded occasion with a special family twist – as music industry stars from The Prodigy and All Saints turned out to support their local Hampstead gallery.
Zebra One Gallery called on friends and family to mark the arrival of its latest exhibition of original photographs of David Bowie and The Beatles last Thursday.
Among the crowd at the intimate space in Perrin’s Court were Liam Howlett, co-founder of dance music pioneers The Prodigy, his wife Natalie Appleton and her sister Nicole Appleton, of former girl group All Saints, who all live in Hampstead.
Gallery owner Gabrielle du Plooy and her assistant Rachel Howlett – the daughter of Liam Howlett and Natalie Appleton – hosted a champagne reception for the private view of the From The Mop Tops to Glam Rock exhibition.
One famous face missing from the gathering was Rachel’s uncle and former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, who is married to Nicole Appleton.

Speaking to the Ham&High, Ms Appleton said: “Liam’s got a very, very sore throat otherwise he would have been here.
“He’s bought some Beatles stuff from here, we’ve got a lot of photography at our house.”

Rachel, 20, a former pupil at Royal School Hampstead, who joined the gallery last August, said: “I absolutely love it. In the time I’ve been here I’ve learnt more than I ever did at school.”
Ms du Plooy, 38, took over the gallery from her father - who had run the space for 30 years - in 2011.
It has since become known for exhibiting rock and roll photographs and gained attention last year for an exclusive set of never-before-seen photos of the Rolling Stones.
Before the latest exhibition even launched, the gallery had sold its most iconic piece – the original cover shot of The Beatles’ Abbey Road album – for £45,000.
While Oasis star Liam was unable to make last week’s viewing, his Beady Eye bandmate Andy Bell, also formerly the bassist with Oasis, made the short trip from his Hampstead home.
He said: “I’m here to support Gabby and Rachel. I didn’t know these two when I first walked past the gallery and they’ve consistently had rock and roll stuff in the windows – Pink Floyd, the Stones, The Beatles, David Bowie, all that kind of thing - and then I got to know Gabby when I came in and bought a Stones photo.
“I’m a big fan of the place.”
