The 50 most confusing things in life today

The Confused.com survey was carried out by researchers who polled 4,979 people between the ages of 16 and 65 living the length and breadth of the country.

Men were deemed more confusing than women with almost 17 per cent of people voting for blokes and almost 12 per cent naming ladies as the more confusing sex.

Social networking site Twitter also made the list as did Stephen Hawking's theories, Kerry Katona, poker and predictive text.

Reading a train timetable, the infamous Magic Roundabout in Swindon, London's tube network and fax machines also appeared.
