The sun was shining down for a school’s summer fete where children bounced through the air on bungee trampolines.
Hundreds poured in through the gates of Channing Junior School in Highgate High Street, Highgate, for its annual fair to raise money for the school on Saturday.
Children tried out the small-scale version of bungee jumping, free of charge and they spun through the air with glee. They were also treated to free ice pops. Delicious cakes were cooked up by parents and put on sale, while the Ham&High donated books to the book stall.
A traditional fish and chip van fed hungry guests, while Pimm’s was served up for the adults. Meanwhile, traditional fair games including a tombola and a raffle entertained the crowds.
The fete was organised by the Channing Association, a group of mums and dads who put on social events at the school.
Carla Awenat, joint-chair of the association, said: “It’s about getting the community together and spending time relaxing at the end of a busy year.”
