A HIGHGATE mansion has been rescued from the hands of squatters and returned to its owner.
The unlawful tenants, who included a Cambridge university student, had moved into Fitzroy Farm in Millfield Lane about a month ago.
But police moved in last Thursday and ejected them.
One of them is believed to have been arrested and cautioned for abstracting electricity illegally.
Fitzroy Farm has long been the focus of interest for various developers. It has since been boarded up and padlocked.
Property managers, acting on behalf of owners Daniel and Valeria Levy, have also employed 24-hour security to deter the squatters from returning.
