Tottenham Hotspur have teamed up with UCL Academy to offer sixth-form students a choice of three football-based programmes.
The first would see students at the Swiss Cottage-based academy take a BTEC course, while the second offers prospective coaches the chance to achieve levels one and two of the FA coaching certificate.
A third option offers budding footballers daily training with a member of Spurs’ global coaching team in preparation for competing in the AOC [Association of Colleges] Sport League and Cup matches.
It is hoped the initiative will encourage students to combine a passion for football with a thirst for further education.
George Demetriou, curriculum leader for PE at UCL, said: “We strive to offer our students an extensive and diverse provision, supported by real world leaders in sport.
