IT was great for the lads to finally get out there and play some Twenty20 cricket on Tuesday evening.

We beat Surrey at Lord's thanks to some exceptional bowling which really put them under the pump.

Tyron Henderson was magnificent and thoroughly deserved his two wickets for 11 runs. He never let them get going.

And young Eoin Morgan played out of his skin with the bat, meaning we reached the target of 73 for only two down.

Eoin looks like his confidence is growing with every match. Since he scored 100 at Chelmsford he's not looked back.

The weather has been bizarre for this time of the year. But we're just pleased we've been able to get ourselves on the right end of a result.

We still have a chance of making the final stages although losing to Kent on Wednesday at Beckenham was disappointing.

We've got another big Twenty20 game against Essex at Lord's tonight, and with explosive batsmen like Morgan and Jamie Dalrymple out there we'll be looking for another win.

As for the County Championship, we've got Derbyshire at Southgate on Sunday.

We know we're more than capable of bowling sides out and we know Southgate is traditionally a good ground for us, so we'll go there with a lot of confidence.

I see no reason why we can't win six out of six matches and secure promotion back to the top flight.
