Kelly Smith scored twice in the opening five minutes but was later shown red as Tesco Premier League leaders Arsenal Ladies hammered Leeds Carnegie 6-1 on Sunday. The England striker grabbed a quickfire brace before Jade Moore pulled one back after seven minutes for the hosts in a frenetic opening period.

Karen Carney made it 3-1 to Arsenal 11 minutes later before Smith was sent off along with Carnegie's Alex Culvin after the pair squared up to each other with less than a quarter of the game played. The Gunners took advantage of the extra space though, with Gemma Davison, Carney (pen) and Katie Chapman adding further goals for the visitors.
