ALL but one of the seven post offices in Haringey which were earmarked for closure will be axed, Post Office Ltd announced yesterday.

Post offices in Alexandra Park Road, Muswell Hill; Weston Park in Hornsey; Ferme Park Road, in Stroud Green; Salisbury Road in Wood Green and West Green Road in Tottenham will all close.

Page Green in Broad Lane in south Tottenham has been saved because of the high level of sheltered and temporary accommodation in the area as well as the planned housing development in the Tottenham Hale, Post Office Ltd said.

Highgate post office, which is in the neighbouring borough of Camden, is also facing the axe.
