Schoolgirls vaulted through the air and pushed their sporting skills to the limit as they competed against each other at their annual school sport’s day.
Pupils from Channing School, in The Bank, Highgate, could be seen racing across Parliament Hill Fields on Wednesday of last week.
Friends became foes and classes were set against each other as students represented one of the school’s four houses – Waterlow, Goodwin, Sharpe and Spears.
But the day ended with grins and laughter when it came to the teachers’ race on the athletic track, with everyone cheering on their favourite member of staff.
Headteacher Barbara Elliott said: “Sports day was just another example of how Channing girls demonstrate excellence beyond the classroom.”
