HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED IN WEST HAMPSTEAD?

I moved to West Hampstead nine years ago from the countryside in Yorkshire.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT THE AREA?

Being from the countryside originally, I love the greenery and parks in and around West Hampstead. I love to walk around the area which has a real local feel to it, and it's so close to Hampstead Heath and Primrose Hill. I think the way West Hampstead has changed in the last nine years is amazing, especially the introduction of new local organic shops which I like to support.

WHAT IS THE WORST THING?

Traffic wardens are the bane of my life! And they often put out their signs about road works and parking restrictions late at night so you don't notice them, and then when you go to use your car a few days later it's been ticketed or towed.

WHICH LOCAL SHOPS ARE YOUR FAVOURITES?

I love the Wet Fish Cafe on West End Lane, and the independent book shop Daunt Books. I also love supporting the local organic shops, the bakeries and the farmers market.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE LOCAL BUILDING?

I think the new Swiss Cottage Gym is amazing and great for the local community. The exercise classes there are great, and the climbing wall. I also love the Everyman Cinema in Hampstead.

WHAT IS WEST HAMPSTEAD'S worst EYESORE?

Apart from the road works, I think it's really pretty and all the new developments have been in keeping with the area.

WHO WAS THE LAST CELEBRITY YOU SAW in the area?

I saw Jamie Theakston the other day - he was travelling through West Hampstead in his car. I saw Emma Thompson with her daughter in a cafe a while back as well.

IF YOU WERE MAYOR FOR A DAY, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I would give everyone the day off work so that they could go out and enjoy the wonderful parks and the beauty of London. Even though I'm from the countryside I love the city. Its parks are beautiful and I love the vibrancy and eclectic nature of London.

IF YOU HAD TO TWIN WEST Hampstead WITH ANY OTHER PLACE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD THAT BE AND WHY?

Maybe the West Village in New York, that's where Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie lives in the sitcom Sex and the City. Like West Hampstead it's fashionable, young and vibrant.

IF YOU HAD A MILLION POUNDS TO SPEND IN A DAY WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

First I'd build a Sharkah Chakra emporium in London which would house custom made bespoke denim. I'd also travel around the world to remote countries by boat. I'd like to visit remote tribes, study the beautiful crafts and artefacts and bring some of the incredible products back to London.
