ONE of the most famous rock stars in the world is set to be the star guest at the Christmas lighting up ceremony in Hampstead.
Ronnie Wood has been booked to appear at the festive event, organised by NW3Hampstead traders' organisation, on Saturday.
The celebrated guitarist, who lives in Belsize Park, is most famous for his 30-year career with The Rolling Stones but was also in The Faces with Rod Stewart.
He has also carved a successful career as a world-renowned artist.
Linda Chung, Hampstead councillor and chairwoman of NW3Hampstead, said: "We are delighted to have such a well-known and talented person to switch on our lights this year.
"Ronnie Wood is an icon and I'm sure the people of Hampstead will welcome him to the Village this weekend."
