A report by Camden Council has revealed incidents are at a lower level than when records began.
The paper, which looks into incidents from 2007, found the rate had dropped and no child fatalities had occurred on the borough's roads.
There has also been a 64 percentage point increase in people cycling from 2001 to 2007, and a 17 percentage point decrease in the number of vehicles on the roads.
Parking boss Cllr Chris Knight said: "We have invested a lot of time and money into imaginative safety schemes around the borough and it's fantastic to see this working.
