THE daughter of daytime television couple Richard and Judy has been disqualified from driving for 20 months and fined £435 after pleading guilty to drink-driving.

Chloe Madeley, 22, who lives in Hampstead Garden Suburb, appeared at Hendon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (September 2).

The court heard how Ms Madeley had two cocktails while out with friends in Camden on the evening of August 15.

Later that night she was driving her Peugeot 206 along Meadway Close when her car collided with a parked Mini, turning her car over.

She left the vehicle and walked across the road to her boyfriend's house.

When police arrived later she confirmed she had been driving and tested 61 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit is 35.

Her lawyer said she had been driving back from a 24-hour chemist where she had been to buy "female products" and did n't realise she was over the limit.

Defending, Alex Radley said: "Clearly these are drinks where the quantity of alcohol is hidden by fruit juice. She feels dreadfully upset about what's happened."

Chairman of the bench Clive Lewisohn said while sentencing Ms Madeley: "The bench takes into account this is your first ever offence but it's a serious one. This was a high reading: you exposed the public including yourself to considerable danger, there was an accident and thankfully nobody was injured."

Ms Madeley's period of disqualification will be cut by a quarter if she attends a drink- drive rehabilitation course by October next year.
