POLICE and residents are opposing a Camden Town venue in its bid to stay open 24 hours a day.
Alchemy, a yoga and meditation centre in the Stables Market, won't be quite so restful for neighbours if it is successful in having music and dance at all hours of day and night.
"It is strange that a premises claiming to be a 'centre for personal transformation' where the 'ethos is on spiritual calm and relaxation' should make a request to open for live music and dancing 24 hours a day, at the heart of an area where anti-social behaviour and noise nuisance has become commonplace," said the police's licensing boss, Sergeant Bob Dear.
Residents have also written to object to the application, which goes to the Town Hall on Monday.
