Developers want to add seven more flats to the roof of Monkridge Court, on the corner of Crouch End Hill and Haslemere Road.
The block is made up of 36 flats and the new homes would be a mixture of one and two bedrooms.

Lipton Plant architects say its plans would have a minimal impact on the character of the area and streetscape.
But mother-of-three Fiona Hoyle, of Haslemere Road, said: "Where the cars come in and out is directly opposite the main entrance of Coleridge School.

"It is an accident waiting to happen. If you have more parking here, a child could get knocked over."
She added that building onto the roof of the block would spoil the conservation area.
She added: "It is quite a striking building and, if you ruin that, you start ruining the area."
Crouch End Lib Dem councillor David Winskill argues that the plans are very similar to a proposed development in the same area which was refused six years ago.
He said: "It is a very similar block and the same arguments apply.
"It is in a conservation area and will change the character of the conservation area.
"We're concerned about the impact on parking and the amenity of residents.
"Cllr Lyn Weber and I have been working hard with residents on this and have made representations to planning that it should be turned down."
Haringey Council is currently considering the application.
