A road safety campaigner in Hampstead Garden Suburb is renewing his calls for safety improvements after another fatal crash in Falloden Way this week.
A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Tuesday evening when he was hit by a van.
He has been named as Dawid Szadowski, who was originally from Poland but living in Hendon.
A 27-year-old was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, and failing to appear at court for an unrelated matter. He has since been released under investigation.
The crash is just over a year since another motorcyclist, Benjamin Tillbrook, was killed on the same stretch of the A1.

He was on the site “within seconds” of the crash on Tuesday, and said it was “terrible”.
Some 14 emergency vehicles attended the scene, along with the London Air Ambulance.
“There have never been speed cameras there at all,” he told the Ham&High. “There are some people who have to cross the road every day to get to Brooklands schools, or to get the bus. It’s dangerous.”
He also says the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust should be campaigning for the changes to be made – but reportedly aren’t interested.
“All the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust care about is conservation, and the architecture of the buildings,” he said.
“They aren’t interested in campaigning for the roads to be safer, and say it doesn’t concern them.”
Cllr Gabriel Rozenberg, who represents Fortune Green, shares Brian’s concerns. He said: “It was deeply upsetting to learn of a fatality in Falloden Way, the third death on this stretch of the A1 in the past 18 months. It is too early to comment on whether this tragic incident was preventable.
“Local councillors have repeatedly asked Transport for London to bring forward a series of safety measures on this stretch of road. We believe such measures are long overdue.”
Transport for London and the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust have been approached for comment.
