A pub quiz to raise funds for a family centre that provides breastfeeding and midwifery support to new mums has raised £500.
The event, held at the Dukes Head pub, Highgate High Street, on Wednesday of last week kicked off a fundraising campaign for the Highgate Family Centre, which is based at Highgate Primary School in North Hill.
After a period of uncertainty, a successful campaign by the centre has resulted in the Whittington Hospital committing to providing health services there for the next financial year.
But vital resources are still needed to support its work.
Highgate Primary headteacher William Dean said: “It is not the first time that the school has had to fight for funding to continue to run the centre.”
