Pink Floyd’s drummer was among the artists who appeared at a special workshop at Camden’s Roundhouse.
Nick Mason, who played the first ever gig at the venue, was joined by musicians for the event last night.
Ash Soan, who drums on records by Adele, Cher and Billy Idol, Karl Brazil, whose credits include Robbie Williams tracks, and Neal Wilkinson, who has worked with Paul McCartney and Van Morrison also led the workshops.
It was sponsored by Gretsch Drums, which has donated three drumsets to the rehearsal space at the venue – where young people can learn to drum.
Gretsch artist relations manager for Europe, Dave Philipsm said: “Our hope is that with the support of the incredible people at Roundhouse, these drumsets will inspire the next Charlie Watts or Phil Collins to reach their full potential.”
