Children and parents enjoyed a family fun day at Belsize Community Library to launch a new programme of activities for under-fives.
Kids enjoyed an action-packed day of fun on Sunday to mark the launch of a new programme that will be piloted at the library, in Antrim Grove, Belsize Park, over the next six months, delivered by local parents and small businesses.
It will include a range of free and paid-for music sessions to help develop speech and language skills, photography workshops, gift-making, podcasts, a “playgroup” for parents, an entrepreneurship course and fine art for under-fives.
The launch day was an opportunity for families to try out the new activities, from facepainting to a cuddle with pet rabbit Honey and felt-making with Felterskelter.
Martha Williams, of Swiss Cottage children’s charity The Winch, which is running the new programme, said: “I’d urge anyone with a great project idea for under-fives and their families to get in touch and get involved.”
