The Hampstead garden of the Camden Arts Centre was taken over by farmyard creatures as part of an exhibition celebrating the role of animals in culture.
Goats, lambs and chickens were among the animals brought into the grounds in Arkwright Road.
Familes were invited to meet the animals from mobile petting zoo Animal Ark on Saturday.
The exhibition, Back To The Fields, from artist Ruth Ewan, celebrates the cultural role of animals through history and the cycle of nature.
Ruth Ewans work is based on the old French Republican calendar, in which months and weeks were restructured and seasons and days renamed in collaboration with artists, poets and horticulturalists to reflect nature and agriculture.
Each of the 360 days was later named after a plant, domestic animal or agricultural tool.
