A WOMAN in her 20s is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Hornsey High Street.
Police were called to the scene 150 yards from the Three Compasses pub in Hornsey High Street, at 9.50pm on Saturday (June 20).
It is understood that the woman was crossing the road when she was struck by a grey Volkswagen Sharan, which was reversing in the street.
Police are still trying to identify the victim and have appealed for help in tracing her family. She is described as being of Mediterranean appearance, approximately 5ft 5", of slim build and with brown hair.

The driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old man, stopped at the scene and has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
