A 'predatory paedophile' has been sentenced to seven years and six months imprisonment and given an indeterminate public protection order (IPP) after admitting raping two young boys during prolonged periods of abuse at addresses in Haringey and Hackney.
Wayne Courtney, 29, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape on a male child under 13 and five counts of rape on a male child under 16 when he appeared at Wood Green Crown Court.
Crown Prosecution Services lawyer Hywel Ebsworth said: "These offences were committed against two victims almost a decade apart from one another.
"Thanks to the courage of the victims in making statements the Crown Prosecution Service was able to put together a strong case which I believe led the defendant to plead guilty and allowed us to successfully bring him to justice.

"Wayne Courtney is a predatory paedophile whose actions have impacted forever on the lives of his victims. I hope that today's sentencing provides them with some comfort and I would urge anyone who has suffered sexual abuse to come forward knowing that the Police and Crown Prosecution Service will take you seriously."
The first victim was assaulted between August 2007 and December 2007 at an address in Hornsey.
