A new open-air ice rink for north London will be erected at the JW3 centre in Hampstead from December 8 to January 12.

The centre in Finchley Road hopes to compete with outdoor rinks in central London.

JW3 chief executive Raymond Simonson said: “We wanted an ice rink in the heart of north London.

“Somerset House, Kew Gardens, all of these are fantastic venues, but they are in central London and our ambition is to become the venue for north London.”

Contact the ice rink box office on 0844 453 9267 or visit www.jw3.org.uk/ice for more information.

Special offers will be available for schools and charities, and tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.
