I received an invitation to a meeting as part of Barnet Council leader Mike Freer's 'meet the people' initiative. Since I was unable to attend, I was invited to email my questions. Amazingly, within an hour I had my answers and follow-up queries!
As that was this was not enough, at the beginning of the week, I then received various calls from relevant departments, followed up by positive action remedying registered outstanding complaints. It is not surprising that Cllr Freer is leaving for a better place, since there is no way he could keep up this pace. But at least he will have my vote, and that coming from a Rudi Vis fan! Irrespective of political affiliations, we could do with Cllr Freer's "get up and go" at Westminster to help get our country moving again.
