A Highgate development has been condemned by neighbours as too big.

Developer Harrison Varma was granted permission to build a six-bedroom house at 66 Sheldon Avenue.

But neighbour Caroline Bahoshy says the building is larger than it should be.

She says the building is 1.3 metres taller than planned while the garden extension is 20 metres bigger than it should be. She said: "I feel very bad about it - the council is not doing its duty to investigate."

But Harrison Varma boss Anil Varma said: "The garden excavation is accurate to within an inch of the plans. We have done everything in accordance with the council. We are a very reputable firm and we build fantastic houses."
