It’s often said that in London, people don’t talk to their neighbours.
But on Friday, residents in Highgate proved the adage wrong by gathering at the Highgate Society headquarters for a summer soiree.
Familiar faces mingled with new arrivals with a glass of fizz in hand in South Grove for the celebration.
Among guests were Marjorie Wallace CBE, chief executive of mental health charity SANE, Highgate councillors Clive Carter and Liz Morris as well as Highgate Society president and acting chairman, Stephen Panke.
