Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has collapsed and is undergoing medical assessment just three days after being forced to return to prison.
Husband Richard told the Ham&High Nazanin suffered a panic attack yesterday and again this morning before collapsing.
She was taken to hospital facilities within Evin prison, although Richard is currently trying to confirm whether or not she has been transferred to an external hospital.
Nazanin has complained of headaches, numbness in her limbs and a rash over the past few days. Richard said: “Her family in Iran received a call from one of Nazanin’s fellow prisoners. They were told she had had two panic attacks, collapsed and blacked out. She was taken to the hospital wing yesterday, and then this morning. I know she’s had really low blood pressure recently.”
Nazanin was only returned to jail on Sunday after a three-day temporary release.
