TRAFFIC disruption has hit West Hampstead and Kilburn as Thames Water is carrying out roadworks for a month.

For the past week Belsize Road has been closed, forcing bus routes and other traffic to snake around surrounding roads.

The works come as the water company is replacing aging Victorian pipes underground.
