THE mother of a Golders Green student found dead in Germany travelled to Berlin this week to call for a renewed investigation into her son’s death.

Erica Duggan, mother of 22-year-old Jeremiah Duggan, is planning to pass documents on to her lawyers accusing the German authorities of violating human rights by failing to investigate her son’s death.

Mr Duggan was said to have committed suicide by throwing himself in front of two cars on an autobahn in West Germany, but a British inquest found Jeremiah died in a “state of terror”.

The talented student had been studying in Paris in 2003 when he travelled to Germany to hear speeches by radical group the Schiller Institute, closely linked to the extremist LaRouche Organisation.

Mrs Duggan was called by her son on the night of his death saying he was in danger.

“My son dies in suspicious circumstances yet I have been treated in a most heartless and unjust manner,” said Mrs Duggan.
