MORE than 800 people are still suffering the effects of a power cut in Hornsey this morning.
Power was cut to 1,373 homes in St Mary’s Road and Lightfoot Road at 11am this morning, following a fault on a high voltage underground cable.
Engineers managed to restore the power to more than 500 of the homes by 12.45pm, but 824 are still currently without power.
A spokeswoman for UK Power Networks said: “We would like to reassure the remaining customers that we working as quickly as is safely possible to restore their electricity supplies.
“We realise how frustrating it can be to be without power and apologise to our customers for any inconvenience.”
