After all we do seem to exceed our quota of odd happenings by quite some distance. Following the sudden arrival of 'Arry the win over Bolton was a welcome relief, but the week that followed was utterly daft.

The Ramos Revolution may have fizzled out sometime in March, but the Redknapp Resurrection has come in with a bang to take over.

The weather on Saturday evening may have been atrocious, but it doesn't seem as if it would have mattered how deep the puddles may have got because our new boss would have merrily strolled across the top of them without a care in the world.

Okay, that may be getting a bit carried away, and Harry's first week may owe more than a bit to some better fortune than his predecessor enjoyed.

But having spent the season so far as the butt of so many jokes it was wonderful to be the ones laughing with not one but two unlikely results nicked at the death.

We've had stick for celebrating the 4-4 draw at The Emirates last week, but in the context it was a vital point and a very satisfying way to take the wind out of Gunners' sails.

To follow it up by beating Liverpool rounded of a terrific kick-start for the season, and hopefully one that can serve as a springboard to safety and beyond.

We're not out of trouble yet - Man City away will be tough - but from the dark thoughts of disaster after Stoke, we can at least now see a reason for a bit of optimism that will hopefully get us back on the right road swiftly.
