HOLLYWOOD megastar Meryl Streep is due to be beamed into Hampstead this Saturday night.
The star of Kramer vs Kramer and Out Of Africa will appear via satellite link at Hampstead's Everyman Cinema to take part in a Q&A session with a lucky audience.
Videos of her screen highlights will be shown as she talks through her favourite performances direct from Bafta's HQ in London.
An Everyman spokesman said: "We are always keen to offer our customers a variety of events alongside normal programming and Meryl Streep - A Life In Pictures is a great example. It comes in addition to our popular satellite Opera screenings, which regularly sell out and prove that there is a desire among customers to see alternative content in the cinema."
Saturday's event starts at 6.40pm and tickets are available from the Everyman's website.
The cinema has also revealed its own new cast for the coming year. Kath Sloggett, previously at Coca-Cola and PricewaterhouseCoopers, takes over as chief executive from founder Daniel Broch, who remains a shareholder.
She said: "I'm very excited to have joined. Everyman Hampstead has been my favourite cinema for many years and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to be involved in the development of the group.
"The launch of the newly refurbished Everyman Belsize Park (previously Screen on the Hill) has been a great success and we're pleased it has been so well received by both old and new customers.
