A 25-year-old man was left with head injuries after a fight which could have started over a cigarette lighter.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information to the brawl which happened in the early hours last Friday morning outside the Swiss Cottage Car Service taxi company on Finchley Road.

Manager Faiz Osman said the fight began over a 90 pence lighter: "From what I heard one guy asked the others for a light and because it was raining they asked him to have it back quickly but he just threw it on the floor."

Staff at the firm called the police when the fight broke out.

Three men, two aged 24, one aged 23 and a 23-year-old female, were arrested in connection with the incident and have been bailed.
