A young man has died after apparently jumping in front of a tube at Finchley Road station this morning.

The man's identity is still unknown but police are not treating his death as suspicious.

It is believed he took his own life by throwing himself into the path of the tube at around 8.30am.

British Transport police as well as the Fire Brigade and paramedics raced to the scene but the man is believed to have died instantly.

The Jubilee Line is still suspended between West Hampstead and Waterloo.
