A 25-year-old woman is being treated in hospital after a car crashed into a cafe in Hampstead this morning (Wednesday, March 14).

A man in his 30s has been arrested following the collision at around 10am, which left a trail of battered seats and tables outside Zamazingo cafe in Fleet Road, South End Green.

He is being held in police custody for questioning.

Paramedics treated a woman for leg injuries before taking her to the Royal Free Hospital in Pond Street, Hampstead.

A London Ambulance spokeswoman said another person had been treated.
