The former manager of the Sex Pistols, who died earlier this month, will be laid to rest at Highgate cemetery on Thursday afternoon.

And members of the public are invited to pay their respects during the procession, which will travel through Camden.

The route will start in Camden High Street, before travelling through Chalk Farm Road, Ferdinand Street, Malden Road and Southampton Road and ending up at Highgate cemetery.

Humanitarian website Humanade, run by McLaren's son Joseph Corr, is encouraging fans of the musical trailblazer to observe a "Minute of Mayhem" rather than a minute's silence, in honour of his groundbreaking work in the punk rock scene.

And New York Dolls, one of the bands managed by McLaren, have reportedly pledged to pay tribute to him at their gig at Koko in Camden tonight (Monday), along with "special guests.
