Lord Melvyn Bragg was speaking at Burgh House this week as part of the museum’s Lifelines series – a set of talks with eminent people about their life and work.
The long time Hampstead resident, prolific novelist and TV presenter entertained dozens of local fans with anecdotes about his life.
Radio producer Piers Plowright was interviewing Lord Bragg, 71, and so naturally much of the talk turned to his famous Radio Four show In Our Time, in which guests investigate and debate the history of ideas.
