A Hampstead woman who had to cancel her summer holiday after becoming one of half-a-million stranded in the UK because of a crippling passport backlog, has finally been allowed to travel.
Last week the Ham&High reported how Becky Robertson, 31, of Agincourt Road, was forced to cancel plans to meet her parents in Portugal after waiting since April for her new passport.
After the Ham&High stepped in she was pleased to receive her passport in time for another holiday to Croatia, booked for next week.
She said: “I am very excited about my trip to Croatia and I can now start planning everything properly knowing that I have a passport.
“I hope it makes others aware just how much time they should leave before sending off their passport.”
