Residents are invited to find out more about Barnet Council’s plans to cut £2.85million from the borough’s libraries service.

Under the plans, East Finchley and Childs Hill libraries face the prospect of closure to help the council deal with large-scale government funding cuts.

Consultation events will take place at the Hindu Cultural Society, in North Finchley, Stephens House and Gardens, in Finchley, and Hendon Town Hall next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

To register for the meetings, call Rhys Elliott on 01792 535315.
