THE Lib Dems have clung onto their Town Hall seat in Kentish Town and are celebrating another victory, with their candidate winning last night's by-election in the ward..
Nick Russell came home with a narrow margin - just 76 votes - over his nearest rival Awale Olad of the Labour party.
In third place was the Green party's Victoria Green, while the Conservatives lagged into fourth place ahead of the BNP and UK Independence Party.
It is the second time the Lib Dems have won a by-election within a month, with Linda Chung the new councillor for nearby Hampstead.

The Kentish Town by-election was forced after it emerged former Lib Dem councillor Philip Thompson was representing his constituents while 5,500 miles away on a PhD course in Tucson, Arizona.

Awale Olad (Labour) - 863 votes
Victoria Green (Green) - 518 votes
Peter Horne (Tory) - 171
Edith Crowther (BNP) - 62 votes
Magnus Nielson (UKIP) - 21 votes
Voter turnout was 28.7 per cent
