Liberal Democrat Linda Chung has been elected borough councillor for Hampstead after winning the by-election last night. She won 1242 votes compared to 1114 for Conservative candidate Stephen Phillips. The voter turnout was 36.7 per cent. Ms Chung replace

She won 1242 votes compared to 1114 for Conservative candidate Stephen Phillips.
The voter turnout was 36.7 per cent.
Ms Chung replaces Conservative Mike Green who resigned to pursue his parliamentary career which has since faltered.
