LABOUR has maintained its 40-year stronghold on Haringey Council and significantly increased its majority.
There are still wranglings over the Harringay ward, but no matter what the Labour Party has a considerable majority on Haringey Council.
In 2006 Labour won 30 seats - they currently have 33 and that number could go as high as 36 if the Harringay ward falls in their favour.
